Green Film Festival announces int’l nominees lineup

The line-up of global works received by the Int’l Green Film Festival has been announced.

The festival announced the list of the international works that have qualified to compete at animation, experimental, documentary and feature film sections.

More than 43 countries have submitted their works to vie at this year’s edition of the event.

Works from Argentina, Sweden, France, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Venezuela, Turkey, the US, Belgium, Japan, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, the UK, France, Austria, Canada, China, Malaysia and Brazil have taken part at the festival.

The event's 2017 edition proposes to draw attention to sustainable tourism, complying with UN World Tourism Organization that has named 2017 as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development.

As Iran’s sole environmental event on motion pictures, founded in 1999, the festival regards other media on its sidelines as well.

The 6th edition of the International Green Film Festival is now slated for September 9-15, to be held simultaneously in Tehran and some other Iranian cities.
